Hi,

I'm trying to access my cPanel, but received the error 'This dite can't be reached' every time I go in to it.

Every time I open my cPanel in Google Chrome on my mac, I receive the error - This site can't be reached / page took too long to load.

I have tried amending allowed proxies, added web hosting hub to my DNS list in my firewall settings (keep in mind I have no real idea what I'm doing), Made sure that chrome is on my allowed connections list, put web hosting hub as an 'exception site' in all areas of my chrome settings.

I'm not using a proxy server. I even uninstalled my antivirus to check whether that was the cause, but it doesn't look like that was doing it either.

cPanel also doesn't work in safari - however in safari it just sits on the loading page.

There's no issues with my actual internet connection. All other websites work, I've never had this error before.

I really want / need to get into my cpanel.

Can you let me know if there's a fix for this?

Michelle

Hello Michelle,

Sorry for the problem in reaching your cPanel or website. This is not a MAC or APPLE issue. The issue is that when you use the domain name, it is not pointed to our hosting service. When I check the domain using a DIG command this is what I'm seeing:

;muchelleb.com. IN A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
muchelleb.com. 86400 IN A 54.210.47.225
muchelleb.com. 86400 IN A 146.148.34.125

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
muchelleb.com. 172800 IN NS ns4.dnsauthority.com.
muchelleb.com. 172800 IN NS ns5.dnsauthority.com.

;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
ns4.dnsauthority.com. 172478 IN A 146.148.34.125
ns5.dnsauthority.com. 144671 IN A 54.210.47.225

This information indicates that the domain "muchelleb.com" is not pointed to Web Hosting Hub's hosting servers. The IP address of 54.210.47.225 indicates that the domain is resolving at Amazon. There is also another A record that points muchelleb.com to 146.148.34.125 - which is Google. When you're fixing this, you need to remove ONE of the A records and have only one pointing to the hosting service that you intend to use. If you change the name servers, then you don't really need to change the A records. We have tutorial on changing name servers that you can find here.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Regards,
Arnel C.
