Using the Parked Domains section of CPanel, I added a parked domain to my site. To my understanding this should both forward and mask the domain. So far, it's just forwarding. Do I need to do anything else to make it mask?

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for the question. There may be some mis-understanding of the term "parked domain". A parked domain allows you to redirect a domain name to another website. It does not mask a domain's information. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by "masking" a domain. If you're referring to "hiding" a domain's contact information, then you may be referring to domain privacy. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Regards,
Arnel C.

In the question submitted, I believe when they are referring to masking they mean domainA.net forwards to domainB.com. A person types in domainA.net gets forwarded to domainB.com but intead of domainA.net showing in the address bar it changes to domainB.com. The original url entered is no longer visible.

Hello tech_goober,

Thank you for contacting us. In the case you described, you would add the domain (domainA.com) as an Addon Domain (instead of Parked).

Then, redirect the addon domain (domainA.com) to domainB.com

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
