After your attack I now have no Email or website and I don't understand what a DNS is or what I am supposed to do with the IP address you have given me or where I am supposed to do whatever it is I am supposed to do. For and organization that prizes itself on customer support, you not living up to your reputation on this occasion.

Hello,

Apologies for the confusion and issues you may be facing with your website. The attack basically affects an address, so one of the more efficient ways to fix the problem is to simply change that address (also typically known as the IP address). You were given the address so that you could change your settings if you were using the IP address with settings for an application that you might be using with your website.

The IP address is needed when you register a domain with a different registrar and they need to point to our server using the IP address. However, if you are NOT using the address for an application or domain name server requirements, then you wouldn't have to worry - you would have no need to change your IP address. If you are using only your domain name for various settings, then it will automatically change and you would have no need to make any address changes yourself.

I hope this explains it for you. For more information, please review our DNS and Name server articles.

Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
