Hello,

I have a blog on Tumblr which I am using with my custom domain name. I followed the instructions on Tumblr to point the A Record to Tumblr and this worked for a few hours.

However my domain name has since stopped pointing to Tumblr and reverted to the IP 173.205.127.246, and now displays the 'Under Construction' page. How do I stop this from happening?

Do I just need to delete the default.htm for this to redirect to Tumblr or am I required to create an index.html instead?

Many thanks!

Hello WAAGM,

Thank you for your question. Here is a link to our guide on creating an A record.

The A record should not change once it is modified, but I would need the domain name to check the DNS and provide a more specific answer.

Also, any time a modification is made to DNS, it can take up to 24 hours to propagate. Until that time has lapsed, you will get intermittent results.

There is no need to remove the under construction page, since you are redirecting to a different server.
