I currently have a domain (camerarc.com) the web site for which is being hosted at a different provider. I'm in the process of moving my web hosting to WHH but I have a question regarding subdomains. In addition to the web site at camerarc.com, I also have a subdomain activate.camerarc.com that hosts an activation server. Unfortunately this is an asp service that needs to remain at the existing hosting provider.

So what I want to do is move my camerarc.com web site to WHH while still having the subdomain located at the current Windows hosting provider. I currently have the new web site set up at camerarc.jpro51.com, and I will probably just redirect to here for the time being, but my goal is to actually get camerarc.com on the WHH servers. So is there a way to set up the DNS so that the activate.camerarc.com is located at a different hosting provider? I've tried to use redirection, but I don't think that will work with the asp service.

Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for your question on hosting a subdomain at another host. You can certainly do this. You can simply create an A record for your domain to point to the other hosting server's IP address. Then once you point your domain to our servers, it will automatically redirect anything going to the subdomain to that other host.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
