I have a registered domain name for my website hosted by web hosting hub. I'm building a lab on my private home network and need to come up with a domain name. I was going to use jptest.local but have seen conflicting information on using .local. Now I'm considering using a subdomain of my registered domain. I'm installing a dns server in the lab but need to figure out what domain name to go with before I can proceed. What are other using for private network domain names?

Hello,

Thank you for your question on domain names. While you can use any legitimate domain name to point to our servers, you will simply need to have the proper DNS server to point to us. If you use a subdomain created in the cPanel, then you can set the DNS to point where you need by using the DNS Zone Editor.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
