Error uploading in Dreamweaver
I'm new to dreamweaver, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Not only .html's also pictures in .png . It keeps giving me errors, and not the same everytime. It works once (I have been able to update sometimes), and then when I need to change something it doesn't let me update new changes. One of the errors is operation timed out. cancelling... and it just cancels the operation, another one says something about FTP error, but when I test the connection of the server it says it is able to connect. HELP! Thanks.

The FTP error is as follows: ####.png - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put ####.png. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.

I have taken a look at your account and I do see files being uploaded successfully. If you are having timeout issues, it is likely due to some sort of interruption between your connection and the server somewhere. As far as the access denied error, be sure that the permissions are correct for the folder that it is uploading to. For more information on file permissions, you may view the following: How do I change my File Permissions? More information on your connection to the server can also be found from running ping and traceroute tests. If you are still experiencing issues after investigating this, I recommend contacting technical support as they will be able to review your logs live as you are uploading the files. |
