Hello,

I'm trying to send emails from the web app. I've setup smtp config with the host, port, etc...and when I'm testing this feature on the website I get the following error from the email debugger:

220-ehub29.webhostinghub.com ESMTP Exim 4.69 #1 Sun, 17 Jun 2012 23:00:53 -0400 220-We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited, 220 and/or bulk e-mail.
hello: 250-ehub29.webhostinghub.com Hello ehub29.webhostinghub.com [173.205.127.190]

250-PIPELINING
250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN
250-STARTTLS
250 HELP
from: 250 OK
to: 501 : missing or malformed local part

the error malformed leads me to believe that some of the arguments are incorrectly either the email address for the 'from' or 'to' but I'm not sure please help me. Thank you

Hello Caminoalcielo,

Without the information to test the script from your site I can tell you why that error most often occurs. It occurs when the mailing program is either not getting some information, or there is a syntax error in the information that is getting passed to it.

You will want to go through all the variables and ensure they are being created and passed correctly.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M
