We had a client sign up at hub, and he just set up his email up. So far it is working, except for emails sent to me - he gets this error:
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host relay.verizon.net XXXX is currently blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system.
Is there anything that he can do from the hub email to fix this problem, or does it have to go through Verizon.
I'm sorry to hear about the email problems. It's an odd message because it appears that Verizon is blocking itself. Now, this could be due to a configuration issue. If you're client has a Hub account, then they could be sending the message from our email servers - the error message above indicates it's being sent from Verizon. You can find your mail server settings here if you wish to set it send mail from Web Hosting Hub's servers. If that is already the case, we do need a more complete bounce-back message so that we can decipher the exact error. You can submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org without posting it hear if you're trying to keep it private. Remember that any post here would be public.
Please let us know if you require any further assistance.
I sent the entire bounce back message to support before I posted this. I also sent a request to Verizon. Thank you!
