Sorry for the trouble with the CRM not connecting using IMAP. Our webmail programs use IMAP so it should be supported just fine. Unfortunately, The configuration settings for the CRM software is not know to us as we don't have a knowledge base for any CRM software.
We can check the email logs to see if there is an error occurring in either the maillog or the exim_mainlog. In order for us to check this we will need the email address and access to the CRM to test it. Unfortunately, because this is a open forum that people can read online, you will want to contact support either by chat, phone (1-877-595-4482 ext 2), or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
