How to make an email alert for file uploads

We have FTP folders setup for clients and would like to recieve an email when something is uploaded to the folders. Is there a way to set this up?

Hello starmail,

Thank you for your question on receiving notification of FTP uploads. This could possibly be done with a custom script that could be triggered with a cron job. I looked into this for you, but I was not able to find any pre-built scripts that are compatible with our shared hosting environment.
