Hello I am new to the online business world and by law for my business anyone who enters my website must be 18 yrs of age and click agree on the disclaimer page. Will I be able to do this?? Also I need anyone who makes a purchase to create an account so I have the records for the FDA should they ask for them. Also I will need to keep all sales records for 7yrs are these things doable through your service or would I be better off paying someone to set this up versus doing it myself.
Thank you for your time.
Mike

Hello Mike.S,

What you are asking is definitely possible, but whether you yourself can implement this on your website will depend on your knowledge of creating websites. If you're a novice, but you have no problem learning, it is definitely possible. There are many solutions to your problem, but basically what you will need to do is register the user BEFORE they can see the content of your website. So, what you create for presentation to the public will be a webpage that can be seen by anyone, but then after logging in, only registered users will see the other screens. The solutions for this kind of thing usually involve a Content Management System such as Joomla where you can easily control what a public/non-registered user sees, versus a registered user.

Would you better off paying someone to do this for you? Possibly. It depends on how much time you're willing to commit to the project yourself, otherwise, you should hire a developer or website designer to create it for you. I can't give you an estimate of the time, because these projects require a scope of work to be defined, so that you then determine what will be created. Check out our Educational Channels in the Support Center menus. You'll see some options that might work for you. Wordpress and Concrete5 are just few available options. Check out Softaculous for the complete list of software that you can easily load through Cpanel.
