I've been noticing data base issues once my site has been running well for a while- I am currently using Concrete5 but also had the same issues prior using SOHO. From my host techs I have always been told to contact Concrete5 (or previously, soho). They in return keep telling me it must be in my host server settings.... however, i am now noticing some help forums which talk about the AMP on the local computers- particulary with OS X. I am just wondering now if setting up AMP on my personal computer is for particular kinds of applications, or do I truely need to configure AMP on my home computer in order to communicate properly with my site on this host?

Hello,

Thanks for asking about whether you need to configure AMP or Apache/MySQL/PHP Stack on your home computer. Simply, the answers is, "No, you don't need it." All of these items already loaded on the server. If you're seeing slow-down, try reviewing your website with a third party site like gtmetrix.com. They provide details that will tell you what's slowing your site down.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Regards,
Arnel C.
