General Information
How do you exclude yourself in Awstats ? I visit my site at least 10 times a day. My stats currently are very inaccurate because it shows that more than 50 % of visitors came from my country and it's messing up my entire stats. Please tell me a way to exclude myself.

Hello XDAZXZ, and thanks for the great question.

If you wanted to exclude your IP address from your Awstats report, this can be easily accomplished with the SkipHost="" variable in your Awstats configuration file.

For each of your websites you should have a unique Awstats configuration file. If you had the domain name and your cPanel user name was userna5 your config file should be located at:

You can open this file with the cPanel code editor.

You just need to click on File Manager, for directory selection choose Home Directory and click Go.

In the left-hand tree style menu, you should click the [ + ]tmp folder, then again on the awstats folder.

Right-click on your file and click on Edit.

Hit Ctrl-F in your web-browser to bring up the find dialog box, then search for SkipHosts.

You should see this block of text:
# Do not include access from clients that match following criteria.
# If your log file contains IP adresses in host field, you must put here
# matching IP adresses criteria.
# If DNS lookup is already done in your log file, you must put here hostname
# criteria.
# Note: Use space between each value.
# Example: " 163.84."
# Example: "localhost abcxyz"
# Default: ""

If you IP address was you would edit that line to read:

This unfortunately won't do anything for your already compiled stat reports. However going forward your IP information should now be excluded from your Awstats reports.

Please let us know if you had any other questions at all.
