The functionality you're talking about is generally something that can come from the application that you're using to connect to the email server. We provide an email service and free webmail clients that can be used to email groups, but you would need to pre-define the groups.
To pre-define the group, you would need to create email forwarders: If you are are working with the Cpanel and our built-in webmail options, then you would need to create a set of forwarders in order to send an email out to a group of people. So, if you wish to send an email to a group such as email@example.com, you need to create a forwarder that will go to each member, and then use firstname.lastname@example.org as the address you're sending to. Here's a link on how to create forwarders:
How to Create Forwarders
This option is often done differently with programs that you PAY for, like Microsoft Outlook. There you can often build a group with a few clicks as opposed to having to create individual forwarders per each - OR, you can also use a program dedicated to creating group emails - these applications are often called mailing list programs. If you're interested in a free one that wouldn't impact your service here, you may want to check out: http://mailchimp.com. The mailing list that we provide in the Cpanel Fantastico is called phpList.
Hopefully, this helps to clarify your question,
