which port should i use??

while loading product / category files to my new website, I`ve wound-up with 5000 products or so and my website is taking very long time to bring-up most things I m configuring, cant accomplish anything, 10 min or better to bring-up my website. Tech/help told to make sure I`m on port #-#### but how do I do that?????? please reply soon!!!!! 12-28-15

Hello,

Thank you for your question on which port to use on your shop. I'm not sure what you mean by which port to connect to. A website connects over port 80, the regular internet port. What port number was recommended to you? Was it our support department that made the recommendation?

As your site is in maintenance mode, we are unable to see the site's performance.
