If you install Prestashop and can't login to the back office admin page, check the name of the Prestashop admin folder. Prestashop install instructions say to rename the admin folder for added security. I included a $ sign in the new folder name. As soon as I replaced the $ sign with an alpha character, the problem was solved. I lost an entire day looking for the solution to the problem.
