can not log in to my site

I DOWNLOADED WORD PRESS AND CAN'T LOG IN TO MY ADMIN OR MY SITE. AND WHEN I GO TO WORD PRESS I CAN GET THE PULL DOWN FOR WRITE TO CHANGE THINGS WHAT CAN I DO.

Hello,

Once you have installed your WordPress, you should be able to visit your site by adding '/wp-admin' to your domain name. For example, if your domain name is example.com, then you should be able to get to your admin login page by visiting 'http://example.com/wp-admin'

What type of error message are you getting when trying to log in?
