Problem with Microsoft Outlook 2000
Hello,
I've been using Microsoft Office 2000 without a problem. Yesterday afternoon it started being difficult and gives me the error message
The server was found but is not responding, check your advanced tab. What do I need to look for? What do I need to edit?

I'm still having issues my ports are 110 and 587. When I get into Outlook and tell it test email
Establish Connection (check)
Outgoing - hangs up
Incoming- hangs up
Never gets to logon
Test email - Failure.

Hi Mitch.Parker, I'm sorry you are having issues with Office 2000. I'm more than happy to assist you. To find the advanced tab in MS Office 2000, in the top menu click "tools" and then "accounts" Once the accounts screen shows, click on the mail server in the list you wish to edit and then click "properties" Once the properties tab loads you will then notice the "advanced" tab is not available. I do need more information to further help you diagnose the issue. Are you able to receive email or is it an issue when sending email? If it is an issue sending email, you may need to change the SMTP port. Many Internet Service Providers have blocked port 25 in an effort to reduce Spam. If your current SMTP port is 25, try changing it to 587. If this does not resolve the issue, please feel free to provide us with more details of the exact problem so we can assist you further.
