Can I use something other than the Premium Website Builder?
Can I unpublish my site in order to use a different software to re-build? Basically to start all over? The templates are not working for me stylistically, the e-store shipping limitations are frustrating, and not being able to add script where I actually want it is frustrating. Easy to use but a not very flexible. I would love to incorporate cube cart but I think I have to start from scratch.

Hello Charley, I'm sorry you're having trouble with the Premium Website Builder. Yes, while it is a great tool for getting a site up and running quickly, there are limitations to the software. Before installing the new software you want to use for your site, you will first want to remove the files (and any folders) that were published by the builder. You will find these under the public_html folder. You can remove those either through the cPanel File Manager or an FTP program. You can then install whatever software you prefer to use for your site. I noticed you mentioned Cube Cart. It is is one of many different applications that can be easily installed through Fantastico De Luxe in your cPanel. While looking into this for you, I noticed that your site has both some blog aspects as well as e-commerce. You can easily incorporate e-commerce into WordPress using a plugin like WP e-Commerce for WordPress. Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance. Regards, Christi N. |
