I cannot duplicate the error you are receiving. I was able to upload test pdfs and mp3s without issue. It is possible that your browser needs to be reset or even use another one. Depending on the browser, there are times when they glitch out when working with cPanel. This has been seen with Safari, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. They each have their own issues. This is not the only possibility, however. It could have been a routing issue between you and the server or even a server load at the time, depending.
Please give it another try and if you are having the issue still, I would need some more information to be able to properly troubleshoot. I will need to know the browser type, any errors you may get, and the results of a ping and trace test. You can send this information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
