Visits to site per counter seem high. How are visitors counted?

Hello MountvilleIndians,

The site counters count each time a page is visited by anyone. This will increment each time you refresh the site as well. Those types of counters are not very accurate and more of a novelty for the site as opposed to a metrics device.

Using the AWSTATS program or even sign up with Google Webmaster Tools will give you much better information on your site visitors, where they come from, etc.
