You will want to contact the current registrar and ensure that the email on file is correct. If you recently changed it, that may be the issue as it can take up to 24 hours before the rest of the web is notified of the change and it could have been sent to the invalid one.
If that is the case, the transfer will fail within a few days and can be resubmitted. There is not a way to speed that part up, however.
