Form with mailto action not working in Internet Explorer

Recently my form comments stopped populating my new mail message when the send details button is pushed. The "send to" and "subject" data appear and the message sends however the body section in the email is blank when received. I've been very busy in the site and made many changes including adding some flash before noticing this problem. Any ideas what happened?
Update: The form works fine using Chrome, Mozilla and Safari browsers. It doesn't work correctly using IE8, IE9 or Opera. Just to be clear, the new mail message window pops up with the correct mail to address and data in the subject field but nothing in the body of the message.

Hi jnader,

Thank you for the update. The issue you are experiencing is due to the way Internet Explorer handles the mailto: tag. Internet Explorer does not interpret the tag the same way other browsers do. There are also so many combinations of browsers and email clients that there is no way to guarantee the mailto: tag will work correctly in every situation. I would recommend using the FormMail script instead. This will allow your users to easily and quickly submit comments (without having to open their email client) and will work with all browsers.
