When I enter https://mydomain.com or https://myaddondomain.com, I'm sent to a base directory on the server.

If I add, to the URL, my username and path, I can get to my site (e.g. https://mydomain/~myusername/myaddondomain.com), then I get to the site fine.

What I'd like to have, though, is https://myaddondomain.com automatically redirect to that path just like when I use unencrypted http (http://myaddondomain.com goes to myaddondomain's home directory).

I completely understand that I'll still get the certificate warning but, frankly, I'm getting that now and it would be a lot more intuitive if it went to the domain's home directory.

I'd like to add that I'm not looking for a rewrite to the path (though, that would be an improvement)...i'm looking for a redirect so that https://myaddondomain.com stays as the URL but *resolves* to the correct directory.

Hello escarecrow,

When using the https://domain.com with a domain that has no SSL, you will see the base server page once you pass through the warning. That is not a behavior that is configurable on an account level, it is the default Apache webserver behavior and cannot be changed.

There are several cheap SSLs out there on the web if you do not wish to purchase one through us. Feel free to check out our SSL section on the different options, etc.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M
