I want to have a website that presents dynamically updating information, the source of which are programs on my home computer. These will be stock charts or price points (or both). How do I go about it? Thanks!

Hello granitepeakibc,

Thank you for your question. This can be accomplished, but it will present some difficulties, since you will have to custom code the site.

Anything on your computer must be transferred or published to the web, you would typically use FTP for this type of thing.

It is also possible to remotely connect to a database in your account, and modify the databases. This would make it possible to modify the content remotely.

Since I am not familiar with an existing program for accomplishing this, you may want to consult a web developer, so they can create one.

For information from our Design team, you can fill out this form, and they will contact you.

Also, there are over 280 programs available in Softaculous for designing a website, and many such as Wordpress, Concrete5, and Prestashop can be updated from any internet connection.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
