Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Awstats collection. Are you aware that you can attempt to update Awstats in cPanel on your own manually? If it's lagging behind a few days for you this is a good option to use.
Although please note that you might get an error about the logs trying to process if the server is busy doing other more high priority things at the time or running another user's logs.

In regards to your emails to email@example.com bouncing, do you possibly have the headers from those bounce backs that you can provide us with? We aren't seeing any global issues right now with deliveries into this account, so it could possibly have been a temporary issue and the error messages in the bounce back message should describe more in-depth exactly what might have happened.
