I am unable to find an account with us, so I can only answer in a general manner. You should not have to use any HTML or other coding when using a plugin. It should work fine. If you are having troube with it, you may want to check the website of the plugin author. They may have a solution already posted on their site in the help section.
It is also possible that other plugins are causing an issue. You can test those by turning them off one by one and trying to perform your task. If you find that it works when a specific plugin is turned off, that will be the cause of the error.
