I am having problems with the placement of images & short text related to them on my page. I would like to be able to drag and place the picture and then associate the text with the image. Have read in the codex about wrapping and using the left align or right align for the photos but it results are very inconsistent.
Text that I want to link to a photo will be above or below it or wander down to the photo below.

Do you recommend using the plugnedit page builder or is there some other plug in available on WordPress?

To answer your question, it is easier to show an example of what's not working. The Website address is http://whatcomwomenwalkers.org/?page_id=106
On this page there is a short text to the left of the top picture. The text on the right of the next picture is okay but the text titled HIker Chicks and Ruby goes with the pictures below. Adding line spaces above that text may or may not move it into the correct position. An extra line of spaces may throw off the content that is at the bottom of the page.
I would also like to position 2 images side by side, but this does not work either. What seems to be needed is a text box eature that could be placed where it is wanted on the page.

Thanks for any more tips you can provide. :-|

Hi,

Thanks for the update, that helps to clarify the issue. I noticed while looking into this for you that there seems to be a mix of both div and paragraph tags in the code for your page. Did you make any changes using the HTML editor for the post or any changes to your theme's CSS styles? Sometimes, when working with content, it can be easy to loose track of changes made. It may be best to start that post over with clean text and images so we can start the process of text and image alignment with a clean slate.

When searching the WordPress Codex, did you find this information text and images?

Wrapping Text Around Images

I also took a closer look at that plugin, but I wouldn't recommend using it because instead of wrapping text and images using CSS, it uses tables. The use of tables for layout of page elements other than data is a deprecated method which should no longer be used.

If you need any assistance with the CSS modifications suggested by the Codex, we're happy to help you with that.

Christi N.

Hi none,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with images in WordPress. Where do you want the short text to appear in relation to your image? Have you tried putting in an image caption?

I'm not familiar with the PlugNedit WordPress plugin, but it looks like it does give you more of a visual drag and drop interface for creating your WordPress site.

Please feel free to tell us more about where you want your short text to appear and we'll be happy to help with that.

Regards,

Christi N.
