Hi, i've im currently building a site at www.russellbrandtrews.com and ive posted about 100 times but i cant find any of them anywhere when i search in google. Even if i place the whole title in the search bar for example "russell brand trews e96". Ive only started my site about a week ago but i'm worried about this and i need to know how to fix it asap i think. Im using "seo all in one" plugin so i have some relevant keywords assigned to the posts but i dont know why im not get ranked anywhere even for the title of my posts.

Hello TheTrews,

Google is as Google does, at least that is what we say around here. Google will pick up your site eventually, unless you have a setting in a robots.txt file set to tell Google to ignore your site. That would have to have been done by you, so if you don't know what I'm talking about then you didn't do it.

Google crawls different subjects with different frequencies, so sites on some subjects show up within a week or so and some show up within a month. Once you do show up, they will crawl you regularly looking for new stuff, updates, etc.

For instance, some of our articles in the support center get picked up within 24 hours, and we've even seen some show up within hours. With a newer site, this can take a while at first.

Don't worry, Google will ultimately find you and then you can begin to tweak your site to get higher up in the rankings.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M

ty for your response, i understand what you are saying. Ive only started my site a week ago but the thing i find weird is that in the first few days i was checking google results and some of my posts were getting indexed, this is for the search term "russell brand trews" a couple on the 3rd and a few on the 9th page. I was quite pleased to see that in such a short amount of time so i expected to only see my search results improve BUT now nothing. Not even putting the titles in with "". Could you explain that? Also i havn't activated the site map in "seo all in one" plugin yet. Should i do that immediately? I wanted to learn more about it b4 activating. Is there anything i should be cautious of b4 i activate it?

Hello TheTrews,

Thank you for contacting us today. Your Google ranking is completely controlled by Google.

You can set how often Google crawls your site in your Webmaster Tools.

Activating, and submitting your sitemap to Google may help your SEO rankings. Just make sure that you don't include anything you do not want crawled in the sitemap. For example, if you have search pages, or custom scripts, it may not be beneficial for Google to index these.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,
