Email Marketing is the broad term used for promoting your website by emailing visitors and potential visitors.

What software can I use for Sending Newsletters?

To send email to multiple recipients, you can use CC and BCC in your email client.  Using CC and BCC isn't recommended however as there is software available to help automate the process.  One example of a program you can use is PHPList.  PHPList is a mailing distribution application available in your cPanel for quick installation.  Please read our article on installing PHPList for more information.  Using software can be a challenge at first, but it will make sending newsletters much easier.

Types of Email Marketing

  • Newsletters.  Newsletters are an easy way to keep your visitors informed.  These are generally done on a weekly or monthly basis to keep your visitors up to date.  A form can be added to your website so visitors can request your newsletter.  Remember that it is considered bad practice to send newsletters to people that did not request them.
  • Email Promotions.  Email promotions are emails you send when your site's running a sale.  These can be once a month, on holidays, or just whenever you're having a special.
  • Surveys.  A survey is sent to customers to ask them how they felt about your service.  This is useful for several different reasons.  First, it shows your customers that you care about their thoughts.  Second, you can get honest feedback from your visitors so you can make any suggested improvements.

Bulk Email Sending

For us to whitelist domains and help prevent spam, we recommend customers sending more than 250 emails per hour submit an email limit exception via your Account Management Panel (AMP).
