mcafee daily spam report emailWhen you are using the McAfee Email Protection, by default you will receive a daily Spam Report.

In this tutorial we will show you how to choose what type of Spam Report you will receive.

How to Set Your Spam Report Type:

  1. Login to the McAfee Control Console.
  2. Click the Preferences tab.
  3. Click the drop-down menu to the right of the Spam Report Content option.

    Choose your preferred email format. Below is a description of the available options as per McAfee help guide:
    OptionDescription
    Text - Summary Sends a Text email message containing a count of the number of new messages in the user's quarantine, a total count of all messages in the user's quarantine (if it is different from the new count), and a link to the user's quarantine. (No message details are contained in this message.)
    Default (HTML) Sends an HTML email message containing an HTML table of any new quarantined spam messages since the user's last report.
    All quarantined items Sends an HTML email message containing an HTML table of all Spam messages in the User's Quarantine.
    HTML - New items since last report Sends an HTML email message containing an HTML table of any new quarantined spam messages since the user's last report.
    Text - New items since last report Sends an all Text email noting the number of new messages in the user's quarantine, as well as a Text Summary grid containing message details for all new Spam messages in the User's Quarantine. This format 
    After making your selection, click the Apply button to save. You will then see a notification stating "The Preferences were updated successfully."
