Hello,

Last night I made two changes to my set-up with webhostinghub. First, I installed Filezilla and started FTP with my files in cPanel. Secondly, I installed Joomla! in my public_html folder (for my main domain www.johnpalowitch.com). Both these actions appeared successful, since I was able to upload and download with Filezilla, and my domain now appears as the default Joomla! front-end.

However, this morning I visited my add-on domain website www.umsecular.org, to find the words "Index in /" only. Upon logging into cPanel, I confirmed that there were now no files in public_html/umsecular.org, when there used to be all my files to make this site functional.

I need to find these files and return the site to functionality ASAP. Please help me figure out what went wrong. Thank you,

John

Hello John,

I did a thorough check and there are no records of deletion for any files in that addon domain. I can see in the logs where files were uploaded on 8/21. I can checked both FTP and cPanel logs for the timeframe. The odd thing is, within the backup, that addon does not exist. This means that it was deleted at some point between 8/21 and the time the backup was run last evening.

If you happened to delete an FTP account or mistakenly delete the folder via the cpanel, all files inside would have been deleted with no record. I also checked to ensure there was no intrusion into the account, and that checked out fine as well.

The thing to do, since there is no backup of that addon, is to re-upload the files into the domain via FTP from your computer.

Best Regards,
Scott M
