Can't seem to upload new file to Public_html

I'm trying to upload a new file to Public_html, but nothing happens. I see the progress bar at the lower right corner of the display, but it just sits there, and the file is never uploaded.

Hello ImConfused,

I'm sorry you're having trouble uploading your file. I'm not sure if you are using FTP or the cPanel File Manager to upload your file. If you're working in the cPanel File Manager, some browsers such as Chrome and Internet Explorer have had conflicts in the past with cPanel. If you are using the cPanel File Manager, please try using a different browser such as Firefox or the Legacy File Manager in cPanel. One other option you have is to use FTP for uploading your files.
