Cannot connect to database

I'm getting the following error:

Database connection error (3): Could not connect to database

Joomla / php installation.
The configuration.php file is correct with my details etc. No problems running it locally or with the other host (that I've just switched from!)

Have I missed something?

I'm sorry you were having trouble installing Joomla. One of the more common issues people may have if they create the database and user separately (without going through the MySQL Database Wizard) is assigning the user to the database. I see that our Support Team was able to assist you with the error you were receiving, and once the database user was assigned to the database, you were able to connect Joomla to the database.
