I am trying to set up a local ODBC connection to my WebHostingHub MySQL. I have set up a Remote Database Access Host but keep getting the error below:

Connection Failed: [HY000][ODBC 5.1 Driver] Access denied for user'xxxx@host-XX-X-XXX-XX.as43234.net' (using password: YES)

Is there any guidance please on how to set up ODBC links please?

Regards

Hello CBDatabases,

The remote client is indeed contacting the server, it is the authentication that is failing.

That particular error means the login function failed. You will want to check the username, password, and host to ensure they are correct. Also, be sure the host is indeed pointed to our name servers. If not, it could be trying to log into a database on the server the domain name is pointing to.

Best Regards,
