Our webiste and DNS server were previously obtained through a third party. Our DNS is enom but we do not have direct access to changing the name. We have asked for a DNS transfer, and have gotten our EPP key. WhoIs has confirmed our account is unlocked.

Do we have to contact our third party and tell them to point to your domain before we submit a domain transfer in the AMP?

Hello ccecsb,

Thank you for your question about pointing your domain to our Nameservers before initiating your domain transfer. We do recommend that you point your domain to our Nameservers before initiating the transfer. It can take up to 10 days for a domain to transfer and during that time you will not be able to make changes to your domain's Nameservers.

Once you have made that change to the domain's Nameservers, please allow 4-24 hours for DNS to fully propagate and your changes to take effect.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
