changing DNS in network solutions to point to add on domain

Seeing that my add on domain is located under public in a sub-directory of my main site what exactly do I change the dns to at networks solutions? I'm pretty confident that it isn't webhostinghub but not sure exactly what it would be. When people come to the site will the url be mynewsite.com or oldsite.com/newsite? Yes I do have a newsite.com registered with network solutions.

Hello Davecardz,

Typically, an add-on domain is a stand-alone domain. If you want to set a domain name to it, you first have to register the domain name - which you have. Second is to point the NAME SERVERS to our hosting service. The hosting servers are:

ns1.webhostinghub.com
ns2.webhostinghub.com

If you're using an A record, you need to create an A record there at your domain registrar and point to the shared IP here (you can get the IP in the Cpanel).

The simplest change though, is to update the name servers, and wait up to 24 hours for propagation to pass. Here's an article on the name servers:
