SMTP changes

I'm the process of moving client's email host to Hub. They're located abroad and the SMTP entry for their email is currently using their ISP's SMTP server (smtp.ispname.net). My question is: when I look over the documentation for Hub's email setting, the SMTP that I should use is mail.mydomain.com. So, do I need to use HUB's SMTP setting or use their current setting from their ISP?

Hello MichaelB,

Generally speaking, you would use the Hub SMTP settings. However, ISPs sometimes require outgoing mail to be set to their own settings as per their policy.

The best way to find out would be to have someone contact them to see if the ISP SMTP settings are mandatory.

Best Regards,
