I checked out your ftp getting started link and it all looked pretty simple. I'm assuming that once I register with your company you will email me a cpanel username and password. Just one question, at the moment I transfer my files via FileZilla to the httpdocs file and yet I read in an answer to someone elses question on FileZilla "Please be sure to upload your files to your document root, public_html. " This has confused me somewhat as I thought that everything would pretty much stay the same.

Joe

Hello again Joe,

Thank you for the great questions on using FTP and where to upload your files to.

Once you have an account with us, you can view your cPanel username (and other hosting details) under Technical Details in your Account Management Panel (AMP). You can also send an email (to yourself or your developer/designer) with those details under Quick Links in AMP.

I'm sorry for any confusion about the document root. Some hosts use the folder httpdocs for the document root, but our servers are setup with public_html as the document root (where you want to upload your files). For more information on that, please see our article on What directory to upload files to.

I hope this clears things up. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Regards,

Christi N.
