Hi

i am trying to find and download via ftp a file thatb is located in a folder with well over 8000 files. When I use ftp I cannot see the file as ftp limits me to 8000 files. How can I force it to look mat the entire folder to find the file in question?

Thanks

Hi ChrisS,

I'm sorry you're having trouble locating a file. I would suggest doing a search for the file using the cPanel File Manager.

If you have any trouble with that search, you could also try running a script to find the file. Replace SOMENAME with your actual filename and adjust the file type (.php in the example below) as needed:

<?php echo system('find ~ -name SOMENAME\\.php -type f -ls'); ?>

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
