I'm having problem uploading some files with non-English characters in filenames.

I got this error in Filezilla (check the e? in ve?lo)

Command: STOR ve?lo-Saba-1.thumbnail.jpg
Error: Failed to convert command to 8 bit charset

It appears that the FTP server doesn't accept files names with accents.
Is there a setting somewhere?

Hello ChrisMorin, and thank you for your question.

Unfortunately FTP uploads with filenames with UTF-8 characters can cause these issues. You should be able to upload them directly using the File Manager in cPanel.

Another solution would be to place all of your files in a .tar or .zip archive, and then extracting them onto the server. You can follow our guide on how do I compress and extract files to my account.

Please let us know if either of these options isn't working out for you.
