Hello rhythmlogic,

Thank you for your question about giving your developer or designer access to your account. If your designer only needs to access site files and will not need to create databases, you can create an FTP account that gives them access to the public_html folder (or other folder if they are working on an Addon domain).

If your designer needs to create databases, they will need cPanel access:

  1. Begin by resetting your cPanel password to something other than your AMP password.

  2. Provide your designer with the technical details from the AMP home page. Your cPanel user name is shown as Username in your technical details.

  3. Make sure you give the designer the new cPanel password you set in Step 1.

If you ever need to remove access, you can simply repeat Step 1 to reset the cPanel password to something else.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
