When i first set up my websites here I wasn't quite sure what i was doing.. I have ended up with lots of domains and subdomains. When i go onto the unwanted subdomains there seems to be a copy of my content from my other ones, I am not sure if I am being penalised by google for having two or three of the same web pages, either way I would like them to be gone just for simplicity.

so at the moment I have something like this..

mydomain.com
my2nddomain.com
my3rddomain.com

whIch is what I want, but there is also..

myusername.mydomain.com
my2nddomain.mydomain.com
myusername.my2nddomain.com
my3rddomain.my2nddomain.com

and a bunch more, that I do not want.

Thanks anybody that can help

Thank you for your question Erindave!

When a domain is added in the cPanel, cPanel will create a subdomain for the addon for ftp access and to prevent the document root from being mixed up with a different domain. These can be removed in your cPanel by doing the following.

Removing subdomains

  1. Log into your cPanel.
  2. Navigate to Domains > Subdomains
  3. Find the subdomain to remove and click Remove.
  4. When removing the subdomain, the folder will still be in the File Manager on the server. Go to File manager, and find the folder that was created for the subdomain. Click the folder and delete it.

Now the subdomain will be completely gone. To remove addon domains, repeat the same process. If you have any trouble, contact support either by chat, phone (1-877-595-4482 ext 2), or by email (support@webhostinghub.com) and they can remove them for you. Because this is a support forum, going through support will speed up the time frame of your request.

James R
