I want to be sure and own the domain name when i register it. How can I own it if it is free.

I want to make sure I own the domain name when I register it. How can i guarantee ownership if it is free for the 1st year?

Domain registrations like any domain- they are registered through a domain registrar. In this case, it would be registered in your name (or business name) with the domain registrar. The first year of registration is free, but the ownership still belongs to you. This is the same regardless of the registrar that you go to. You can also go to directly to the organization that governs the registration of domain names - icann.org. They have a beginner's document here: Beginner's Guide to Domain Names.

When you register a domain, it is your intellectual property as long as you use a legal name. Note that Web Hosting Hub does NOT register international domain names. See the article above from Web Hosting Hub for further details.
