Hello NilaJean,

Thank you for your question about a CSR. A simple CSR request is for customers who wish to purchase an SSL certificate for their site from another vendor. If you wish to have a dedicated SSL certificate installed on your website, you can either purchase the SSL directly from Web Hosting Hub, or purchase that certificate from another vendor. The CSR is needed by the vendor in order to correctly key the CSR for the server the website is hosted on.

Please note, purchasing an SSL is only needed when you want a dedicated SSL. A shared SSL is included with your hosting account.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
