I'm using mcstatus from https://github.com/attrib/mcstatus to check the status of my Minecraft server. Whenever it tries to run it errors and says that the operation is not permitted. I've read some forums and many of them say this is because the port is closed. Is there a way through cPanel that I can open a port? Or do I have to talk to customer support? Or is it even possible on this hosting?

EDIT: The port I was using was 26656. It's rather high since I assumed no one else would be using that port. Since that port is closed, could I have a list of available ports?

Hello gharryg,

Our servers have certain ports that are open for use. Any port that is closed cannot be opened. However, I am happy to check the specific port to see whether it should be available or not. What port number are you looking to use?

Best Regards,
