multisite wp and addon domain

I have multi site wp working and i see the addon domain in network admin, do I need to do anything else like domain mapping for the addon to share info with main site

Hello LynneB, and thank you for your question.

With WordPress multisite, after you've set it up by following steps such as in our how to install WordPress Multi Site guide. You should then simply see a new My Sites drop-down at the top-left of your WordPress admin dashboard.

From there you should be able to enter the Network Admin to add or manage your sites. I don't believe there would be any information sharing between one multi site with the main one, WordPress Multi Site allows you to simply run multiple separate WordPress sites using one domain name.
