I'm using Outlook 2011 for MAC and can send and receive mail as IMAP but cannot subscribe to the folder for the new account so that there is somewhere for the inbound mail to go. "Subscribe" is greyed out when I click on the name of the account folder I want to subscribe to. It is possible to subscribe and unsubscribe from other accounts I have set up in Outlook.

Appreciate any help in solving this mystery!

Thanks.

Hello KAAssocs,

Thank you for your question. We are happy to help, but we would need more information to provide a specific answer, such as your email address.

I checked the server and it is not experiencing any issues at this time. I recommend checking your settings again, since many people use outlook for mac with IMAP successfully.

Here are links to some helpful articles that cover "Subscribing to IMAP Email folders in Outlook for Mac 2011," and "How to set up your Email with Outlook 2011 for the Mac."
