Banner keeps stretching while adding text to home page

Trying to create my website on Website Builder using a template. While I am adding text to the home page, the banner (which is a vertical rectangle on the left) keeps stretching so that the image that I placed on the bottom portion of the banner can no longer be seen unless you scroll down. The top of the banner is a solid color which is part of the template. Any ideas how to keep it from stretching?

Hello HappyGirl,

Sorry for the problems with banner. The issue has to do with the formatting on the page so it will be difficult to keep the banner static. Take a look at the following link (and make sure to read into my comments after the actual article):
